No to 80 is a coalition of road safety and environmental organisations calling on the government to scrap plans for 80mph limits on motorways, which will result in more devastating crashes and casualties, increased costs to drivers and the NHS, higher carbon emissions and damaged tranquillity in the countryside.
Its official launch is on Friday 18 May, but you can start supporting the campaign right now by liking the Facebook page and telling all your friends about the campaign.
You can also:
- add your name to a petition started by bereaved mum Liz Voysey whose daughter Amy was killed by an 80mph driver
- write to your MP using our form asking them to back the No to 80 campaign, sign the No to 80 Early Day Motion in Parliament and push the government to abandon its plans for 80mph motorways
- Tell us your thoughts about 80mph motorways so we can pass them onto the government directly when we respond to the upcoming consultation on increasing the limit.
Thank you for your support. Please tell everyone you know about the campaign and encourage them to support us too.
